We all could take a look at ourselves when speak and use words - TopicsExpress

We all could take a look at ourselves when speak and use words such as cheater, whiner, crybaby, etc. We all love drag racing and especially Pro Stock because of its competitive nature, close competition and the work and dedication it takes, as a team, to reach the pinnacle of success, a World Championship. Sometimes our competitive nature overflows and spills out because we are emotionally connected to this sport. We HONOR the competitors and team who came before those of today. We have favorites, this is understood, but others do as well. Are we respecting and honoring this great class of racing by using slurs or making accusations? For a honorable person would try not to do this. If we were not there in person we should refrain from making any accusations. If we did not walk in a persons shoes and walk their footsteps that lead them on their path in Pro Stock racing we serve ourselves better to be silent rather than judge and criticize if we are unable to give the person your benefit of your doubt. I will be the first to admit that I have been harsh on members a time or two and I promised Al Lewis that I would not allow my emotions to control me in the future. When I read words that speak of meeting someone somewhere and make close to the hospital of the choice, things have gone too far. Name calling is one thing but threats of physical harm is unethical and against not just the terms of use in Facebook, it is unlawful and persons of this kind are nor needed or appreciated in any Facebook group, hence they should be banned and blocked. The bottom-line that I ask from all of you is that we agree a the code of ethics to refrain from personal attacks, the use of slurs, innuendos and we keep on point to the topic and try not to repeat our personal agenda of point over and over. If we fail to do this, there is one guarantee. The group will dwindle and eventual die or Facebook will disband the group. Folks it is up to you to made HONOR the mantra of this group or not.
