We all have our favorite shows. Whether its a sitcom you quote from with your friends or a drama you cant wait to see the week after an insane cliff hanger, theres always going to be a show you cant get enough of. And then there are those special shows. The ones that you feel every time theres a major plot point, happy or sad, or a life lesson or an experience, something that kicks you in the heart and relates to that exact thing youre going through. In my life, there have been two shows that fit those qualities: Boy Meets World and How I Met Your Mother. Boy Meets World taught me values as a boy growing up in this world and helped prepare me for life and love and friendship. How I Met Your Mother helped me through a lot in becoming a man. I feel like I am Ted Mosby. Ive been through so many of the same things he has, and Ive gotten through a lot of situations by seeing his growth as well. I started this series a single man, and tonight, when Ted finally meets the mother, I will be watching while sitting next to my one and only, my bride to be, Katie Williams. We did it, Ted. We got there. So for my #HIMYMFarewell, I just want to say how great its been watching the perfect week. The slap bet. The bro code. The Robin. One Ticket to Farhampton Please. And most of all, thank you for what I feel is the greatest love story of all time, and for giving a Mosby like me hope in times of loneliness and doubt, and putting a smile on my face.
