We all know that our Lady is National Historic Landmark (NHL). Do you know what a National Historic Landmark is? The City of St. Louis Homepage states the following: A National Historic Landmark (NHL) is a district, site, building, structure or object that possesses exceptional value or quality in illustrating or interpreting the heritage of the United States in history, architecture, archaeology, engineering or culture; and that possesses a high degree of integrity of location, design, setting, materials, workmanship, feeling and association. In addition, an NHL must demonstrate one or more of the following criteria: is associated with events or persons important in the past; is representative of the manmade expression of culture or technology; or yields important information about prehistory or history.
