We all know we will die someday yet, nobody wants to die. Death - TopicsExpress

We all know we will die someday yet, nobody wants to die. Death remains a mystery because nobody knows when, where and how. That explains why we cry whenever our loved ones die. We cry not because we think they wil live forever but because their death creates a certain vaccum-physical, emotional, spiritual, financial, material and otherwise. So, when one cries at the death of somebody, it could be for different reasons. Best known to the crier. Of recent, death no longer scares me as i am used to. Its for a simple reason: im gonna die only but once. When, how and where is not in my power. What is in my power is to be ready and prepare, as that biblical watchman. This convinction also reflects in the way i view others death cos i now see it as a necessary end-the road every mortal must take. We all pray and wish long life but if yours or mine comes tomorrow, so be it. With this in mind, i say that i am beareaved. I lost a dear cousin this afternoon. He died at St Charles Boromeo hospital, Onitsha at 1:52pm this good afternoon. The whole Nwosu family is in sorrow especially his young wife, two kids of 2yrs and 6 months old and most dishearteningly, this aged and sick mother. When i got the news, i didnt cry because i knew he will die. Yes. I didnt cry not because i didnt or dont feel pains but because i didnt know he will go before me and you reading this. Yes. He was as young, vibrant and enlightened as u are. He was lofty visions and plans for his two kids, just as u. He was planning of having more kids, just like you. In fact, he was wealthy. So, you see. It could have been you. Pray for the repose of his soul, if you believe in praying for the dead. Wish him well wherever he is if u believe in life after death. He has gone. Who is next? Me? You? Mourningfully and tearfully musing.
