We almost lost Hank today in a very bizarre way! Him & Willie were playing and somehow Hanks collar got caught in Willies bottom teeth and they started freaking out and kind of fighting! Me & Momma ran over trying to seperate em and they just kept struggling and twisting every which way! I couldnt tell, for a few mins, exactly HOW they were caught up and as I was trying to see, one of em bit me. I could tell that Hank was being severely choked, you couldnt even get a finger under his collar, and because of all of the twisting, they were tightening it! I told Momma, hes choking him to death and when I could see WTH the problem was, I just put my hands in Willies mouth and yanked that collar up and out of his teeth. Hank just staggered away and collapsed! I rubbed his neck and Momma wiped his face with a towel and eventually he recovered. Hank had on an Escape proof collar, which is basically a nylon choke collar, which I had on him for his Vet visit a few weeks ago and just never took it off...Needless to say, I took that damn thing off and I wont put another collar on him, except to go to the vet and will remove it when we get home! If you use this type of collar, PLEASE keep this incident in mind! I would have never dreamed something like that would happen! Had they been outside and no one home, I have no doubt about what the outcome would have been!
