We always make cookies or some kinda yummies for the homeless shelters at holiday time, but this year I also want to donate a lot of other things. I have an absurd amount of clothes that no longer fit me (plus, if I dont keep any of that size then I have no choice but to stay at my goal weight, right! lol ;) whatever works!) & Liv has toys, books, & clothing that are in like-new condition as well. My dilemma is that I dont want to go through any hate group charities to do it. I.e.: the Salvation-Homophobic Army, the Goodwill Rip-off Artists, anyone who is anti-LGBTQ or related to the Assemblies of god, who wont allow anyone to volunteer unless theyre christiany & can provide a letter of faith from their pastor. Vomit. Granted, I would prefer to hand out care packages personally to the needy, but my schedule doesnt really allow for it. So Im seeking any suggestions or recommendations for a true charity group not affiliated with any hate or discrimination of any kind. Any info on other charities to avoid is also welcome. I dont even mind shipping or delivering the items to a good charity or even a religious group, as long as theyre equal about dispersing it. Help me people! :)
