We are a little over 12 hours before we get into a flying tube for our 20 hour trip to South Africa to watch Jonnie compete in IPF World Powerlifting Championships. About 8 hours to Frankfurt via DC, and after an 8 hour layover (ugh) another 12 hours to Johannesburg. Once there, we get shuttled to the venue 100 miles away. Thankfully, Jonnie doesnt lift until Friday. Its winter in South Africa now which means its about 10 degrees cooler than it is here now. Adventure to be sure.
