We are a tribe/small community, yet we have set ourselves up to be - TopicsExpress

We are a tribe/small community, yet we have set ourselves up to be dictated by a handful, in and out of election seasons. This tribal government we have simply does not work. I do not like how motions can be itemized on an agenda, then have the motion discussed and decided, without formality for the parties involved and/or the impacted individual(s). You almost have to keep up with grapevine Joneses in order to know what the.hell is going on with our council. Transparency shmansparency, my ass. An issue has been brought up for the UMPTEENTH time, and could have been executed without notice or fair representation for a tribal member. What kind of tribe, or tribal council does that to their own people, the ones who voted them in? A corrupt, monarchist system does. If this council thinks they can overturn past council decisions AND the decisions of the tribal judge, our people need to decry the failed, abusive leadership that is supposed to represent us COLLECTIVELY, not plot against the slighted few; while conveniently overlooking or even diaregarding established laws/ordinances. It is clear Hoopas established tribal government system needs to be dismantled and we need a new body of social order. The aformentioned issue should NOT be an agenda, as it is clearly evident the case itself has been dismissed, not once, not twice, not three...but SEVEN times. The issue is bloody old, it wasnt brought up yesterday. Nobody is fighting, except the people who repeatedly combat the issue, and their fight is within their own guilty mind. The American colonies fought taxation without representation; I will combat accusations without substantial evidence.
