We are all brought before the Judge by the SPIRIT, the SCRIPTURE, and the SERVANTS. Let’s look at this together. THE SPIRIT convicts us and shows us our sin! Just as fluid in the eye keeps dirt out of the eyes, so the constant cleansing power of the Holy Spirit will keep the filth of the world out of the heart. THE SCRIPTURES will convict us and show us our sin! Disregard the study of God and the WORD and you will sentence yourself to stumble and blunder through life, blindfolded as it was, with no sense of direction and no understanding of what surrounds you. Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed thereto according to thy Word. THE SERVANTS of God are those who walk godly in this life and love Him. They are a witness against us and our sin! Lives of great men, all remind us we can make our lives nobly, and leave behind us footprints in the sands of time. We try to practice what we preach. Truth reads well and sounds beautiful, but it is not something merely be written for one to read and admire. We have not learned “those things” until we have lived them. Noble thoughts are of little value unless they translate into deeds. Living surpasses learning; practice outshines preaching; reality supersedes research.
