We are all human, which means we make mistakes daily. It may be something small like forgetting to pack the kids lunches the night before, it may be saying the wrong thing to someone we love. Maybe that mistake was glancing at a text as we drive, or being caught up in our thoughts that we didnt notice the traffic ahead of us slam on their brakes in time. We all make mistakes daily. Now think about how many hundreds or thousands of people you encounter on the road as you drive with your child(ren) in your vehicle. Is it your mistake or theirs that might make you think, did I protect my child enough? Did I have their car seat properly installed? Did I make sure they were properly buckled in? Were they in a car seat appropriate for them? As I traveled this morning with my 6 year old to her appointment an hour away from home, I was grateful that she was still properly harnessed in a 5 pt harness, and that was properly buckled with the seat belt and tether. I know that any mistake I made or any mistakes from the thousands of vehicles that we encountered, that I had done everything I could to protect her. We cant control everything in the world around us, but we can control proper install and use of a car seat that we count on protecting our children. -Admin M
