We are, all of us always only rehearsing our understanding of reality Here we are Alive And, about to die Here the world is Amazing And, horrible too What do we make of it? How do we deal with it? How can we stay sane? We create a narrative To soothe ourselves In all our preaching were just rehearsing For ourselves Our precious narrative If others can believe it maybe we can too Until......... The Unity of All Being Overcomes this self-ish-ness To unmask my soul Exposing its universality Then I live in all beings And death is no more Than a haircut
