Homemade is a busy, award-winning cafe with our flagship premises in Nottingham’s trendy district of Hockley and another premise in the arty Nottingham suburb that is Sherwood. In addition to that we also have a successful outside catering part of the business making lovely food for special events like weddings & local festivals. We basically love proper real Homemade food and we are bringing it to the people. Homemade has now been awarded the contract to take on the exciting new cafe facility in the Pavilion at the recently refurbished Forest Recreation Ground and we are creating this in true Homemade style. The Job: A full time position of Pavilion Team Leader at Homemade. This role is to co-ordinate the day to day running of the Homemade Pavilion Cafe. You will be preparing meals, drinks & snacks behind the counter. You will be expected to maintain good hygiene & stock control, supervise the team, while always supporting the owner in all things Homemade. No two days are the same in our busy cafes, therefore we are looking for someone outgoing and ready for a challenge, who will thrive on building up the trade while gaining good rapport with regular customers. Our Candidate Requirements: * Minimum 1 year experience of working in a restaurant/café environment in a Senior Supervisory Role. * Must be flexible as we will be open 7 days a week, throughout the summer season. * Full driving license & access to vehicle preferred. * Experience of food handling & a good understanding of freshly prepared food essential. * Must be confident in ability to provide consistently great customer service. * The ability to multi-task, work on own initiative and cope under pressure is crucial as it often very busy. * Proven ability to work to targets. * Must be confident in managing & guiding staff. * Must have a good working knowledge of stock control and food safety. * A real passion for proper homemade food, this is not a place that survives with a microwave!
