We are approaching the election here in Washington state, and there is a lot of heat about Initiative 522, which is being pushed by some as a health concern issue. They have an actress doing a commercial full of lies and half-truths, and right now, TVW is running a program called food fight, which is supposedly a look at both sides. However, I have never seen a more one-sided argument this side of gun control. They (backers of I-522) throw around terms like contaminated, health endangering. Frankenfoods and more. These people are not rational. Not one person has ever been made ill by any food which is a product of proven farming methods that give us the best, most productive,` and safest crops in the world. Organic anything is the biggest scam to ever come along. Organic was what farmers did before the scientists provided means to larger crops, fewer insect trouble and more. If everyone in the world were to switch to organic methods, we could feed three and a half billion people. Problem is, there are seven and a half billion people in the world. who determines what four billion people will starve to death? I urge mall Washington residents to vote NO on Initiative 522.
