We are asked frequently how Tillie gets around, so I decided to video her walking for her fans to see. We took TWO videos, here is take two because she often stumbles and falls, which is sad, but she gets right back up again and keeps on going. If you want to see the first video, the link is down below. It shows her stumbling and falling, but as you will see she is right back up again and keeps on going. We do have to carry Tillie up and down all stairs in our home, including the thee stairs that lead out to our backyard. But she does not mind, whenever we bend down she eagerly does a little jump as if to help us lift her. She is such a special girl! They were broken slowly over many years under the weight of the heavy chain that kept her bound in the yard of a dogfighter in Alabama. We can not surgically rebrake and set the legs, because the rest of her body has acclimated to the new position. So we do our best to keep her comfortable and happy. She came to us from the heroes at HSUS after serving some months at a temporary shelter until she could be legally released. Tillie was heartworm positive (she is now negative thanks to Patty and Joe who sponsored her heartworm treatment) and she has had several surgeries to remove tumors. For now, she is happy and healthy and loved unconditionally! #TeamTillie
