We are asking for prayers for my sweet Arianna. She goes in for the 1st surgery next Wednesday 2/04. She will have a card with electrodes placed directly on her brain, then they will close her back up, and we will have to stay in the hospital with this card on her brain until she has 3 same seizures so they can be 100% sure of where they are originating. Now this process could take from 1 week to 3 weeks...depending if she has the 3 seizures quickly or not. If she doesnt have the seizures within the 3 weeks, then she will not go through the major surgery, they will have to remove the card, then close her back up and send her home, then maybe try agian in another year...if needed or if capable (if seizures havent spread to other side of brain also). But if she DOES have the 3 seizures and they are certain of where they are originating, then they she will have the major surgery to where they will remove the part of brain that is causing the seizures. This will give her a chance at a seizure free life. There will be a process of relearning certain things and physical therapy needed afterwards. But the doctors are certain that she would be able to recover completely and be able to move on and learn new things like she is suppose to without her seizures interfering and making her memory forget what she has learned. So we are asking for prayers that my baby girl goes through the 1st surgery without any problems, then has the 3 seizures quickly so she is not forced to stay there for so long, and finally to be able to have the major surgery with everything going smoothly and she come back to us the same as she went in. I pray that she will be healthy and her personality will be the same. I love her so much. This is very difficult for me to talk about and go through at all...I have to be strong for her. And so I am. She has gone through so much in her young 7 1/2 years of life...she is the strongest person I know. I love her so much. Please pray for her and my family as we go through this difficult time.
