We are back on the road. Lake Tahoe to Eureka Nevada with a lunch stop in Austin. We started the day loading the car and then meeting Larry and Shirley for breakfast. After that it was on the road. We are back to our traveling pictures. Highway 50 took us back across the dessert and the mountains and desert followed by more mountains. We are spending the night in Eureka and I have been listening to stories from Fred since we left Tahoe. And Fred has been enduring my bad jokes. We were talking about a noise his differential was making and I asked if it was humming. He said, "yes" and I asked if he wanted to know why. So he asked, "What is your opinion?" I answered, because it does not know all the words. It was sad leaving Tahoe but the scenery back through Nevada has been enjoyable. About a half hour before Austin the police were pulling everyone over to make room for a wide load coming through. One picture gives you an idea of the size of the truck they were hauling. Our 51 police car was stopped by the police. He asked if he could be photographed with the car. Guess everyone gets a little bored out here. Some of our group decided to go I80. The rest of us going 50 got together for a nice dinner tonight and look forward to seeing the famed salt flats tomorrow.
