We are back with clips from our hidden camera sitcom where Sam Dobbins IS Super Agent Sam Selph. Our hapless hero is in need of sustenance and nutrition so the crew set up and waited while I entered the restaurant and ordered a meal. I would then make tell the waitress that I had to feed the parking meter and I left but waited out of sight . Sam would then make his appearance, sit down and eat the meal I had just left. It was an interesting scenario .....people could become quite agitated and the cops were called frequently. I was given the cue by the director to go back to the restaurant where I would diffuse the situation by warmly greeting Sam and telling the staff that he was my husband. Now....his outfit was put together with the idea that it should not be stylish ..the sort of outfit that his character would think was stylish but it was just ever so slightly off. One day when we did steal a meal I showed up as usual and greeted Sam with a warm Hi honey. One of the cops looked at Sam...looked at me and then back at Sam (obviously taking in the fact that there was not a fashionista at work in Sams wardrobe). The cop asked me again...this your husband? I replied to the affirmative and again the cop looked at Sam, then back to me, then to Sam and finally said to me you know you can do better than that! It was all we could do to not collapse with laughter. From then on I told people while doing Steal a Meal that I was a volunteer at a shelter and it was my week to take Sam out for a few hours in public! eish!
