We are being linked with Lukas Podolski in this mornings papers.. . Podolskis appearance record is the only concern for me, but if we can get him and we can get more out of him than his previous teams, then maybe my opinion could be won over, especially if we play him on the left side of an attacking three.. That would stop us from looking at buying a risky Jay Rodriguez, who is not guaranteed to return from injury as good as he went out. Theres no denying Podolskis scoring record is excellent and at 29 hes still relatively young, and he has premiership experience, which is what we need, and imagine if we linked him up with Huntelaar in the middle. . The fact hes played for Arsenal isnt really a concern for me at all, Id like to think I was a bit more grown up than to think we cant employ people who have been to that club, that would be borderline childish IMO.. . I for one dont live in a delusional world, where Ive convinced myself everyone connected to our club has never been tarnished by them down the road.. We must have staff members throughout our club who have divided loyalties and visa versa.. We must have youth players who have grown up in an Arsenal household.. Also how do you think both Arsenal and Spurs have shared the prize for best kept pitches for so many years between the two of them, or is there suddenly an abundance of top class groundsmen who all just happen to be living in the North London area and nowhere else in the country.. . If we did get Podolski, my only concern would be his appearance record, because I have no doubts he would be a total professional about things, as Germans are all very professional people. He would be desperate to nail down a place in the German squad for Euro 2016, which would probably be his last Euros for sure... COYS!!!!!! MG
