View the details below: VACANCY REGIONAL COMMUNICATION OFFICER Terre des Hommes Netherlands Terre des Hommes Netherlands (Earth for Mankind) is a Dutch organisation founded in 1965 as a non-profit organisation. Terre des Hommes Netherlands aims to improve the quality of life of vulnerable children in difficult circumstances all over the world, regardless of race, faith and/or political orientation and to have their rights as laid down in the UN Convention of the Rights of the Child protected and assured. Terre des Hommes Netherlands Regional Office Southeast Asia supports local partners in Indonesia, Philippines, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Thailand. To ensure recognition, appreciation and affinity for the brand and work of Terre des Hommes Netherlands and its local partners in the region, we are currently looking for a Regional Communication Officer. Responsibilities of the job: • Leading and providing advice on all communication and publication processes including establishing and maintaining contacts with the media, various organisations and institutions, and coordinating with colleagues and project partners; • Coordinating all activities related to communication and publications within the region, between the region and the head office, internally and to external parties in the region and to other regions; • Effectively promoting and publicising Terre des Hommes Netherlands projects and activities to external parties in the region and to other regions; • Designing, developing and implementing promotional tools, publication materials (on and off line) and strategic events to communicate Terre des Hommes Netherlands projects and activities; • Ensure safeguarding of the “house style” and overall branding at regional level, as well as visibility of Terre des Hommes Netherlands and its local partners within the region. Job requirements: - 5+ years of relevant working experiences as a Communication Officer in a regional context, preferably in Southeast Asia; - Relevant academic qualification (or similar competencies based on previous working experience); - Affinity for development cooperation, focussing on fighting child exploitation; - Proven skills in the development of a marketing and communication plan/strategy; - Proven excellent writing skills for different target audience and possess photography skills with a particular attention on human interest topic; - Proven skills in networking and connecting with multi-sectoral agencies including corporates, media and government to raise organisation profile and to raise funds. - High proficiency in English, especially in writing and speaking; - Knowledge in web and product design is desirable. Competences needed: The Regional Communication Officer has to be creative, communicative and enthusiastic person, who is also an independent team player and a good ambassador. Location and duration: The Regional Communication Officer will be stationed (incl. extensive travel) in Bangkok, Thailand with a 3 months induction period in Jakarta, Indonesia. The assignment will be for a period of 12 months with the possibility of permanent employment, starting as soon as possible.
