We are currently looking for a very special foster home for the most amazing boy. Thumper is a 2yr old medium cross breed boy who has had a bit of a rough life to date. Thumper is suffering from a neurological ailment that effects his coordination, in particular his fine motor skills.Thumper is currently undergoing neurological testing and will be having an MRI soon to try and determine exactly what has caused his condition and if there is anything we can do help him regain his fine motor skills. Thumper is an absolute delight, he has a sense of humour, is an absolute snuggler, loves toys and adores going for long walks. Thumper is great with dogs he knows and will play and play and play, but can be easily intimidated by strange dogs so slow introductions are a must. Thumper is fantastic with cats but hasnt been around other small animals. Thumper can also be intimidated by some people as his condition has effected his confidence so can get overwhelmed in certain situations and we think small kids would be too overwhelming for him too as his coordination makes it hard to not bump into things (so kids could get bowled over). For those he knows, Thumper is their best friend, he is a constant shadow, and foot warmer, a walking buddy and play friend! We would love a foster home for him that isnt put off by his utter goofiness and clumsiness, that has the patience to help him settle into his new environment and take things slowly, that will play (awkward) games of fetch with him and take him on daily walks, and also a home that doesnt have a lot of high stairs or trip hazards.
