We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Assistant Branch Manager to be a part of our Freight Division. The main purpose is to drive commercial growth of Freight Forwarding business and manage additional business from new customers. Responsibilities: - Manage & deliver the targeted income - Identify and develop new client base. - Develop strong presence freight forwarding/ transport market. - Liaise with other sales channels, including network partners, regarding customers of global potential. - Evaluate sales successes and failures to optimize efforts and identify issues. - Business development by value addition selling. - Ensure retention of client 100%. - Develop cargo movement by road, sea and air - Lead, develop, implement and improve policies and performance standards in operations to ensure that service quality levels match or exceed with customer expectations. - To lead, develop, and improve all operations, documentation and dispatch activities - Direct the activities of staff in relation to operations including dispatching, routing, and tracking of shipments - Assist in the identification and implementation of continuous improvement opportunities and customer satisfaction opportunities - Monitor operations to ensure that staff complies with administrative policies and procedures, safety rules and government regulations - Facilitate and support all the Continuous Quality (CQI) as well as process improvement initiatives in operations to ensure that customer service in enhanced and operations costs are minimized. - Lead and facilitate all new product/facility initiatives in operations to ensure that all the new service activities succeed as per the business objectives in the company. - Monitor and guide staff to ensure that all the company owned / operated equipment is operated and maintained properly to maximize the equipment productivity and minimize cost of operations. - Plan and lead the budget process by providing inputs on equipment requirements, staffing needs and other operations costs in line with the business objectives to ensure that operations plan are aligned with overall business objectives. Requirements - Minimum a graduate in any discipline - Minimum 5 years of experience in freight forwarding/ transport industry out of which at least 2 years of exposure of operations management. - Strong planning and good communication skills.
