We are deeply saddened and distressed by the fatal violence that has been on the rise since the snow melted. It is truly sad that warm weather translates to murder and mayhem. It is truly sad that the culture of violence that has spread amongst our young people is seen as something that we cannot do anything about. We dont ascribe to such views, we know that children are not BORN THIS WAY. We know children do not come out of the womb looking for a gun and someone to kill. So at what point, and from what sources are children being taught that this is how to live(how to die)? Are we ready to truly get to root of some of these issues or are people going to act like they dont see if like they did with the litter? We have got to change this culture and only we can. Our hearts go out to the family of this young man and the others that have senselessly lost their lives in Our City.
