We are delighted that the Bearsden Young Fiddlers have chosen to support Robin House this year through their annual charity concert in Cairns Church, Milngavie. It is going to be a wonderful evening with guest artistes Amy Corfield and Allan MacDougall, and you are welcome to join in the Fiddle n Thistle experience too (see attached poster for more details)! The Bearsden Young Fiddlers were formed in 2000 by Conductor Angela Franchi and are made up of young musicians with an interest in playing traditional Scottish music. They are the Junior Section of the Bearsden Fiddlers. They practice in Cairns Church, Buchanan Street, Milngavie, G62 8AW from 6 - 7 pm and run from August until late November each year. Since the launch in November 2000 they have become one of the most successful junior Scottish fiddle orchestras in the country. They regularly raise money for charity in their concerts. Children in the orchestra are aged between 10 and 16 years and play the violin, accordion or guitar to Grade Two level or above.
