We are delighted to introduce you to Christ’s online school of Biblical Studies. Our purpose is simple: We intend on making a reading of God’s word (every chapter), unfiltered by the translations of men available to the world along with commentary by qualified teachers available to all men (Rom. 10:14), in season and out of season as dictated, judged, proved by whoever has an ear to listen (James 3:1;1 John 4:1). Please allow me to introduce myself as the director. I have grown up with, associated with, and dedicated much of my life to restoration Christianity. I know of no greater people than restoration elders, preachers, teachers and Christians. I do not know of many men who have had the great opportunities in life that I have had, to learn from and associate with great restoration Christians. As far as brilliant, and good and talented men on this earth I know of few better than restoration Christians! I know no others who have studied more, learned more, who knew more about the bible, and the religions of men, and with the greatest educations of men! And I am humbled still to realize that a worm such as I has been utilized to the glory of God and have been known and remembered as one of the best and most successful of restoration preachers by many wonderful Christians, there is no greater friend of restoration/first principle Christians than I! I love you and appreciate you all. For the rest of my life as long as possible and if the Lord is willing, I give myself to the service of you and humanity for the reading and the proclamation of God’s word. Having said that, I have to agree with my grandfather Buford Chandler who died many years ago but in my mind every day is getting smarter. Now my Grandfather did not actually say these words, but he lived them as did every restoration Christian hero I have known, “EVERY RESTORATION PREACHER TEACHES OR HAS TAUGHT SERIOUS DOCTRINAL ERROR, AND IF YOU DO NOT JUDGE AND PROVE THEIR EVERY WORD YOU COULD LOSE YOUR SOUL (cf. James 3:1; 1 John 4:1)!” Some current “restoration preachers” today teach that we must teach, as did some restoration preachers of the past, that we must be ‘New Testament Christians’ (under the Catholic “great commission” the first principles or God’s instruction to Christians generally recognized as being delivered from Matthew through Acts (note: they are summarized in Acts 2:38 and Mark 16:15-18, etc.). Yet, our Lord and Savior, calls upon all men after the bible was completed, to be “biblical Christians” or Christians under the whole duty/commission of God, which of course includes those first principles and the remainder of the bible especially the New Testament (as summarized in Acts 2:21; Rev. 10:9-11; Heb. 6:1, etc. ). However demanding that we be called “New Testament Christians” is not the critically dangerous doctrine here! What has caused the Lord’s church to lose its position as the pillar and ground of truth (in the world’s eyes – and therefore put our nation in great jeopardy) is the preeminence of men in the church. Today if one dares suggests that a restoration preacher made a mistake by teaching that we should strive to be New Testament Christians and that man is heard by the wrong person, he will no longer be permitted to preach in some so called “sound congregations’ or even be allowed to attend their “sound lectureships!” That man will be “delivered to Satan” or his “fellowship will be taken away from God!” Some preeminent men, preachers and elders have lost the concept that everything they teach should be proved or judged (James 3:1; 1 John 4:1) by all men. Further, they believe they are over such spiritual matters as deciding your eternal fate, just as were New Testament Christians who had the Gift of the Holy Spirit, and who spoke as God directed. In fact the only authority that Christians have today is to avoid or not to keep company with, or not worship with Christians (I Cor. 5:11) or they can put them out of their building only if EVERY other member agrees (Matt. 18:17; 2 John 8-11). Isn’t it a “pagan like religion”, when preachers and elders make themselves as gods, or seek to be served or worshiped by men as preeminent (Col. 1:18; 2:18)? Very many congregations are controlled by preeminent men, men and women who believe they have the authority to decide for others who the preacher is or who the preacher is not (cf. Acts. 20:28; 2 John 8-11, etc. all)! MY BRETHREN I AM AFRAID OF ALL THE PREEMIENT MEN AND WOMEN IN THE LORD’S CHURCH TODAY (Acts 20:28ff; 2 John 8-11; Matt. 18:17; etc. all)! If I have no need for fear, if the church isn’t in trouble and our nation isn’t in trouble please let me know, because I might be losing my mind as some of you have suggested! (Note: not all Christians who teach that we are New Testament Christians are preeminent men, indeed most of us obeyed the gospel with that understanding, and we are proud of all men who commit to obeying God’s word.). We have found that preeminence causes lots of God’s word to be seen only dimly (cf. Mark 8:24). We do not understand the book of Revelation clearly because preeminent men Anglicized the Greek word “angelos.” We apologize for the following conclusion in advance, for we know it is very shocking, and that at the first you likely will have to reject it and you might be angry with us for a bit (cf. 2 Kings 5:11), but we are confident that in time you will be very joyful for understanding these matters. Translations of men have made it near impossible for most men to see that THE BIBLE SPIRITUALLY IS ONLY ABOUT GOD AND MAN (cf. Gen. 1:31; Psalms 8:4, 5, in our opinion it is unconscionable to translate “Elohim” to angel in Psalms 8:4, 5 and it is unconscionable to transliterate “angelos” to angel rather than simply translate it to “spiritual ministers” cf. Heb. 1:14. And it seems blasphemous to us to hear men suggesting that Jesus was made lower than a created being Heb. 2:9 and subject to those type of beings!). We believe that great restoration preachers of the past often avoided preaching on angels and the archangel and Revelation because it was difficult to explain, and they did not have the time, nor did they want to be fired, as they had much work to do. The facts are, that we were limited by translations of men which was NOT always a bad thing – what is bad is that after we were freed from such limitations that we haven’t taken advantage of our freedom! As a preacher for many years, I can tell you that I was never in a position to rebuke, to the degree they needed rebuked, men’s translations! Further it would have been too discouraging to tell the brethren that they were carrying around only a part of God’s word! Even now people would think it very strange that I would recommend everyone get an i-pad or another electronic divice! Now however, with computer translations, computer tools, etc. (the printing press was the 1st greatest invention by men, the computer the second) we can place the whole of God’s word in most people’s hands (cf. e sword, cell phones, I pad’s etc.). Translations of men are like the little girl with a curl on her forehead, when she was good she was very good but when she was bad she was horrid. Now we all have available the tools to utilize all translations of men! Given the fact that we have computer bibles, the internet and easy access to the world, the fact that no one (to our knowledge) has had an online school with an emphasis on every chapter of the bible, ALL the bible, along with what we believe is our unique belief that we need ONLY the bible to evangelize (since we are now not limited by man’s translations), WE BELIEVE THIS ALL GIVES US AN UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY, ONE PERHAPS THAT THE WORLD HAS NEVER KNOWN! And given the fact that there is so much preeminence in the world that this nation is perhaps on the edge of its own destruction – we need to do something – now! Don’t we? Of course I am dependent upon the church to help me teach correctly to the world that all men are created equal (cf. Psalms 8:4, 5 A.S.V.). Will you help? We do plan on offering snail mail classes later on, and perhaps a website. We plan on doing this work, Lord willing even if we are not supported. However if we had some funding we could get better equipment, better sets, more teachers etc. We are highly optimistic that we can, Lord willing; turn the church back right side up, and even save our nation as a result of again being the pillar and ground of truth!
