We are disappointed with the City of Sylvania’s decision to enact a feeding ban on stray cats and dogs, and wildlife (other than songbirds) that will result in fines and possible jail time. Humane Ohio offered to work with the City to create a comprehensive spay/neuter program but unfortunately spay/neuter programs do not work in conjunction with feeding bans. We hope they will reconsider this ordinance and choose to take Humane Ohio up on its offer that will help residents and cats.
