We are either starting the winter driving scene on a good note or a bad note. I prefer to think that we were blessed and got off with merely loosing some car parts rather than our or someone elses lives. On our way home from Minneapolis where it had just snowed and roads a bit slippery - especially one particular bridge - and the car ahead of us began fishtailing all over the road. In busy freeway traffic and cars right behind us, rather than hit the weaving car, Rick chose the guard rail. He kept right on driving until it was safe to pull off and check the damage. The front bumper hanging, left head light gone, no left front fender, bunch of cut wires hanging down - no blinkers, no wind shield wiper fluid to name a few.....but we made it home with one headlight and no mechanical problems, so far....I fear its going to be a long winter. I HATE icy roads!!!!!! (Rick read where five people lost their lives in Minnesota traffic accidents on Saturday - sure thankful we are not one of those statistics.) I love you Rick Fowler. I took picture of what the car is suppose to look like (right side) and damaged left side minus a bumper........
