We are excited to announce the revival of our emblematic first full-length work, Kaash. Rehearsals are under way at Laban, and the new version of the piece will premiere in just one month at MC2: Maison de la culture de Grenoble (12 and 13 December), with a new five-strong cast of international performers*. Akram teamed up with the celebrated talents of Anish Kapoor and Nitin Sawhney to create Kaash back in 2002. Kaash (Hindi word for “if only”) continued Akram’s quest to build bridges between the worlds of contemporary dance and the Indian classical dance form Kathak. The original tour comprised 133 performances over two years, in 65 venues and 23 countries. *Please note that Akram is not performing in the revival of Kaash.
