The first CARA Lifetime Award recipient is Chicago area running legend Warren Utes! Heres a photo from that same June 1992 issue of the CARA Chicago Runner monthly paper covering the 1992 Lake County Races. Ever youthful Warren Utes, finishing the half marathon in 1:25:54, beat not only his own Illinois 70-74 record of 1:27:50, but likely has added another U.S. record to his long list of accomplishments.
