The Shanghan Lun Seminar Series is the first half of the Canonical Chinese Medicine training. It provides in-depth training to the basics of Canonical Chinese Medicine, both in theory and in practice, as well as the particular diagnostic methods, treatment strategies, and formulas from the SHL. The series integrates training in the pulse diagnosis system as handed down through the Tian-Zeng Lineage, which enables practitioners to accurately and confidently prescribe formulas once they begin to work in clinic with the system. Completing the didactic portion of the series qualifies students to participate in clinical rounds with a trained supervisor. Through 400+ clinical contacts, the students pulse taking is calibrated to the lineage requirements. Students also witness the variety of conditions that can be successfully treated using the formulas from the SHL and the JGYL, as well as the strengths of the diagnostic and treatment methods in the Tian-Zeng Lineage.
