We are excited to share with you that the Senate FY15 budget proposal includes $17.5 million ($2.5 million more than the original ask for this fiscal year) to be allocated to the Early Education waitlist. Currently, there are an estimated 43,000 children on the waitlist for spots in early education programs. Thank you to our members and supporters for contacting your respective legislators and visiting the State House to discuss the importance of funding the Early Education waitlist. This funding will help thousands of kids ― primarily low-income children ― get off the early education waitlist and into quality programs. We will continue to monitor the budget as it progresses to the Joint Conference and keep you updated on our advocacy efforts.
