We are fast approaching the full moon in Capricorn, an unusually stable full moon with the sun in the traditionally lunar and ever so sensitive Cancer. So unusually for a full moon this is a time to proceed slowly, to wait rather than act, remain silent rather than speak and conserve your resources instead of splurging. The angel who rules this moon is Anael or Hanael, guardian of the west wind, who says value existing loves and friends rather than seeking new exciting ones at this time, for sometimes familiar can be best in the long term when the passion or excitement has faded. This moon gives a boost to whatever is solid, business ventures and slow growing investments, advising perseverance and overcoming obstacles though persistent effort. It is a good moon too for laying down burdens, not seeking instant resolution but accepting that there are people or situations where you must very gently let go. This work will continue spontaneously on the waning moon. If you are starting over again, this moon will enable you to make the first tentative steps and to know that long-term is the way forward rather than a sudden leap. Hold on if you doubt or despair for as this moon wanes so you can step by step rebuild. You will need: A small round black stone and a similar white one; a small drawstring bag. • After dark, close your hands around the dark stone and say, Wise Mother Moon, as you reach your height I give to you this burden I no longer wish to carry with blessings, asking you to transform it in your own time and way. • Bury the stone or crystal in the ground or a plant pot, saying, Kind Mother Moon, I wrap this burden in your dark warm cloak of night and offer it to your sister, Mother Earth with blessings. • Now wash your hands and using your power hand (the one you write with), hold the white stone up to the moon and say: Blessed am I by Mother Moon who leaves only peace and harmony. • Carry your white stone in a bag until you feel completely free and then cast it in flowing water.
