We are finally closing up shop for today and the ASPCA Rachael Ray 100k Challenge is officially over. We did 104 adoptions this weekend! These past 3 months have been some of the most exhilarating and exhausting of my life but I will never forget how many people stepped up and came together to make this a success. I want to especially thank the staff in the office, the Vet Techs and all of our wonderful kennel techs for really giving it 100% every day. Our shelter Board of Directors and the Challenge Committee all deserve many thanks as well. This has been amazing and so many, many lives were saved. This just shows what we can do when we focus and work hard. Challenge was just the beginning and Southern Pines will continue to go the extra mile in every way that we can to save as many lives as possible 365 days a year!
