We are getting settled in at home...we came home to a warm house last night thanks to my brother, who came and turned our heat on in our house before we left Memphis yesterday. Im pretty sure I had the air conditioner on when we left for Memphis last week. Cole had a pretty restless night last night...he was up several times saying his neck hurts. The doctors told us that this is possibly due to the agitation of the diaphragm while they were operating. If you will remember, the neck pain was what lead us to learn he had cancer...the doctors told us at that time that this was possibly because the tumor had gotten so large that it was pushing on other organs causing referred pain in his neck. We are still giving him pain medicine on a regular schedule. He is a little puny looking, probably because he still has not eaten anything solid, he is only drinking milk. We did start feeding him pedialyte with a syringe to hopefully get some kind of nutrients in him. We are also giving him Magnesium 3 times a day. He must have a little something in his belly because he did finally have a bowel movement today. It was about a 30 minute HARD struggle, but I think afterward he instantly felt a little better. I think I mentioned in an earlier post that we have a follow up checkup at St. Jude on Thursday this week and we will find out then when we will start the next round of Chemotherapy. We should have 3 more chemo treatments and then HOPEFULLY we will be considered cancer free!! Thank you all for continued prayers, I will keep you posted on our upcoming treatments. Maybe we will get to be home next week for Thanksgiving...Mackenzie is off school all week next week, so we are looking forward to some quality family time! We have so much to be thankful for!
