We are going to be selling our 1980 VW 1600 cc T2 Camper in July....... We simply dont use her properly and we are looking for a new home. I dont want to put her on eBay and take the highest bid. We want someone who understands the responsibility of owning a T2 and what it entails. 1979 was the last year of production of the T2 and this one sat in the showroom in Dorchester, Dorset until Feb 1980 hence the year. One of the very last made....... She has a tin top (no expanding roof to leak) and a simple full width rock and roll bed. Full curtains and there is a camping stove unit that is not fitted any more but goes with her. That said she has had everything mechanical done that can be done New Engine 10,000 miles ago New heat exchangers at the time New exhaust at the time New Discs (yes it has disc brakes on the front) New Callipers New wheel bearings New brake pipes New suspension bushes New Steering ball joints New steering box New interior New exterior Powder Coated steel wheels Restored Porsche 944 seats Momo wooden steering wheel for real men (in other words it doesnt have power steering) So if you are interested or know anyone who is interested, get them to drop us a message to find out more.
