We are halfway there! We have raised $750.00 towards this trip. We need to raise an additional $750.00 for this trip.Help us out please! We have paid our conference fees for Scotty, Tim, and Chris to attend. Now we need to pay for our room, our rental car, and food and gas. We at Burke Weather always want to stay one step ahead of the game. By doing that, we can make sure that Burke, Caldwell, McDowell and Catawba Counties are safe places to live, play, and enjoy. We have an awesome opportunity to attend the National Tornado Summit in Oklahoma City, OK. The dates are February 23rd-26th. This conference is vital for the information it provides meteorologist during severe weather season. Our area ranks in the top 10 in the United States for severe weather. The Storm Prediction Center uses this conference to give the latest updates on how to forecast severe weather including tornadoes. We have been invited to attend the event this year. It doesnt come cheap. We are looking to raise $1,500.00 for this trip. Here is the break down. Conference $447 (3 people) PAID!!!!
