We are happy to inform you all that we started the Charter year by launching our first project on 24-Aug-2014 by sponsoring dinner for around 285 kids from Samarthanam - A home for intellectually challenged. The center is located at HSR Layout. Samarthanam was started in the year 1997 by Mr.Mahantesh and 2 of his friends (All of who were visually impaired) with mission to empower the visually impaired, disabled and underprivileged people through developmental initiatives focusing on educational, social, economic, cultural and technological aspects. Having executed a wide range of projects from education to rehabilitation, Samarthanam has evolved to become a renowned and deeply respected entity in the developmental sector. Thanks to all the Ys Men of our Club for actively participating and supporting us in successful implementation of the project. This was also an attempt for giving the first active exposure to our Ys Lings towards the societal realities. Was a joyous moment seeing the Ys lings joining the Ys Menettes team in serving the food and sweets. Spent a valuable 2.5 hours in the Samarthanam campus and really felt blessed in having an opportunity in serving them.
