We are here in Marlow OK and had a great meal and an excellent spot for the night at Scott and Margots place. KSWO channel 7 came out today and the story will be airing in Lawton tonite at 10:00. I was talking today and something hit me, a Eureka moment for me really. I believe that our veterans are highly idealistic. We believed in something enough to die for it. When youre that idealistic theres a concept of right and wrong, good and evil, and theres consequences for actions on either side. As 20 year old kids we faced and had to make life and death choices that in normal life the consequence is clear. We fought an enemy that was a coward at best and uses women and kids. So we make the choice and we are the ones standing here today. Thats hard to rationalize, there must be a consequence and that turns into depression and guilt and we isolate. Life sucks and it must be our penance, weve earned it. So we suffer and come to the point that this is what we deserve so we may as well end it now. I believe that has something to do with 22 a day losing their lives. Yes we had to make the hard choice, yes it was a choice but its done and we are still here. We dont need to live in our self imposed purgatory. Life does get better there is a hell of a lot worth living for. I know I can complain on here but I said that I would say exactly what I feel on here and thats what Im doing. It does change as individuals we have to find what works for us but it is out there and we do deserve that rainbow and that happiness. Ive found mine and you guys can find yours too. When it pops up youll know and you take it. From the start we have ridden for all of us in our purgatories and its the same now so tomorrow we ride.
