We are hiring a Development Associate and are accepting applications now! 24th STreet Theatre has a golden opportunity for an arts administrator who is eager to learn development. 24th STreet will offer on-the-job training in development and arts administration to a recent graduate in Arts Administration. Training includes participating in the professional Developing Development Program from Executive Service Corps. The Development Associate is a FT, at-will exempt position. 24th Street Theatre’s Development Associate reports directly to the Executive Director and will be part of a two-person Development team along with 24th Street’s existing Grants Manager. The Development Associate will also be responsible for some general organizational admin work as well. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: -Building and maintaining a robust annual fundraising plan -Expanding individual giving -Find new ways to monetize existing artistic programming to increase earned income -Developing and implementing cultivation and solicitation plans with measurable goals for individuals and corporate donors. -Organizing and executing specific fundraising events. -Maintaining 24th ST’s Patron Manager database system for cultivating, thanking, tracking and building strong relationships with donors and prospective donors. -Writing stories to effectively build public awareness of 24th ST to donors, funders, to the non-profit community, to the education community -Assisting with institutional communications -General organizational admin -Representing the organization at meetings and events -Assisting Grants Manager with research, grant writing, and reporting, as needed. SKILLS- The perfect candidate is an writer, has great computer skills, is a can-do person, is a great team player, is conscientious with great attention to detail, has a sense of humor, has excellent time-management skills, is seeking a career in arts administration.
