We are home and Blake is going good. He scared us a little this morning because he didnt want to eat or drink but once they allowed him to get out of bed he started. He really surprised me staying still for 6 hours without any kind of sedation. This morning when the dr said he could get up he sat straight up and was ready to go. He was wheezing around 6 this morning so he had to get a breathing treatment. His chest X-ray looked good and showed no signs of his body rejecting the metal piece they closed the hole with. His on strict low activity for 3 days but thats going to be hard because hes going wide open. He cant take a bath for a week due to the incision and he doesnt do showers so looks like a lot of sink baths. For the next 6 months he will be susceptible to infection so we have to take around a paper telling that and for any procedures needed hes to be pre medicated with antibiotics. If you are sick during the next 6 months please stay away. We are going to spend the rest of the weekend resting because he has a busy week ahead. Wednesday he has an appt at Shriners Shreveport then Thursday an appt at Shriners in Houston. We will have to make several stops to let Blake walk around so he doesnt get a blood clot.
