We are in full swing for the event planned for this Sunday to kick-off our Fall Connect Groups! Our connect group has been paired up with other connect groups to form the Black Tribe. Mark Espinoza is going to be our President. We will be having a “sack” lunch of hamburgers and hot dogs. Please remember to bring lawn chairs, blankets, sunscreen, and canopies if you have them. Immediately after eating, all the tribes will gather up for their assignments. There are going to be several games for friendly competition and each Tribe will be sending a representative to participate. Additionally, our connect group will be facilitating the “Rock/Paper/Scissors” game. The purpose of the event is not to bring out the competitive spirit in us all but to help people get connected. We know from our group that life is better done together. We want others to be able to feel accepted and a part of the same thing. We want to join with leadership and be praying for unlikely moments in our West Field. Someone needs a church family. Someone needs a savior. We want to seize the moment!!! Thank you for all you do!!!!! We are very excited about Sunday and the Saturday nights with our BF – Byrd Connect Group to follow (and the food)!
