We are in no way condoning the rape of little kids nor are we playing down the seriousness of this social ill. But THAT IS ALL IT IS, A SOCIAL ILL! NOT a cultural phenomenon! Naturally, it is the white people that will feel the need to belittle and degrade our culture and the colour of our skin, just to make themselves feel superior. They want us to loath the colour of our skin! This happens in Corporate South Africa, a Qualified Black man is never given the recognition he deserves! Everyday where are being overlooked and shoved to the side, just because we are the right colour for them. They feel they owe us no explanations because they know we need the job and guess what, we just roll over because we know poverty and we know hardship. All this IN THE FACE OF our Employment Equities. The truth of the matter is that they know how RESILIENT, STRONG, BEAUTIFUL and INTELLIGENT we are, given the opportunity we will surpass their greatest achievement. They know we can achieve this, with a baby on our back, no electricity, no running water, just to name a few “adversities” that we have looked in face and said “IS THAT ALL YOU’VE GOT?” They do it in our schools and our tertiary institutions. They’ve done for so long and are so good at it, that we have begun to react to our fellow brother and sisters with hate! We always find something wrong with each other, we want to pull each other down. We kill our African brothers because we want someone to feel superior over. All this while white people watch, turn around and make documentaries about Crime in SA, Xenophobic attacks and many other social ills, which they choose to DUB, “BLACK CULTURE”. TRY AS YOU MAY, I’m still going to SAY IT LOUD! I’M BLACK AND I’M PROUD!!!!
