We are in the age where everybody seems to be in need of prayer..How many people you know who are taken captive today? Some of us are guilty of having a bad temper which holds us in constant bondage that often results to broken relationships. It can be people who are close to us whose hearts have been gripped by greed and has mastered money as their god and all they do is to live to get ahead and make money. If you are in that situation then pray; communicate with God with all your heart. Stand before him and plead for his mercy and for his grace. Each day seek his face and his support, because, as Romans 6 puts it so beautifully, "Sin shall not have dominion over you for you are not under law but under grace," (Romans 6:14). If you are not guilty of what I have mentioned but have loved ones who fall in the list then intercede for the people you love. There’s a great lesson we have in prayer. It is when we pray that we are able to build personal integrity; it is through prayer where we can be restored when we have been defeated in the life of faith; it is in prayer that our barren and parched spirit are being refreshed and most of the time it becomes a place of refuge for the afflicted; the place of love for the stranger; the place of return for those who have been held in captivity.
