We are in the final days of 2014. Seems CRAZY! Just as I got used to it being 2014, now we have to get used to writing 2-0-1-5. And where did the year go? Time flies when youre gettin OLD! LOL And one day, we are all going to come to the last days of LIFE on earth in this mortal flesh. It will seem to have gone by so fast. But it will be over. No turning back. It will be a day of reckoning. And you WILL spend eternity somewhere, whether you like it or not. If you have not repented of your sinful condition and of your false ideas about God and salvation, turning toward Jesus Christ with faith in His shed blood as payment for your sin and, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures, then you will go to a place called Hell. I dont like telling you that. I dont even like thinking about it. But that doesnt change the reality of it. You WILL go somewhere when you die. Those who have been saved by faith in that Gospel (1 Corinthians 15:1-4) will go to glory and be wherever Jesus is. And for all of eternity, we will enjoy His presence and all that comes with it. What do I have to do to go to Hell? Nothing. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. (John 3:18) And it really is that simple. As you bring in the New Year, maybe even singing Auld Lang Syne and/or smooching your spouse... no matter, as you countdown and think of the end of a year and the coming of a new year, I pray that if you are not already sure of your eternal salvation through Jesus Christ, that you will be unable to shake the thought of a day when this OLD life will end and your more important, ETERNAL course begins. Will it be life with Jesus and His saints, the angels and the glories of the Father and His Spirit in Heaven? Or will it be in Hell, then a Great White Throne Judgment and a Lake of Fire for eternity? Where are you going when this life is all over? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. (Acts 16:31)
