We are in the middle of a series, How to be Rich. Why did God make us rich? Based on what I see, it appears so that we could have more, get more, buy more, and consume more. Very rarely do we stop trying to get more and start trying to give more. Most of the time as our resources increase so does our lifestyle. If you watch HGTV, most people go right up to the max they can spend on a house. We just dont naturally think about leaving margin so we can make a difference in other peoples lives. We say things like, Im going to max out and then if theres anything left will talk. The word downsize is not in our vocabulary. In fact, society encourages us to super-size everything. If you can afford the best why not get the best? But is that really what God wants for our lives? Come and find out this Sunday. ~ Pastor Ed
