We are living in a dystopian parallel reality in which #Syriza (a party with policies which would have been seen as positively middle-of-the-road, social contract stuff in the post-WWII consensus - free education, social security, control of national resources etc.) is considered dangerously radical but #Ukip, (a party representatives of which have suggested everything from forced repatriation to aborting foetuses showing physical disability to floods being the fault of gay people) is seen amusingly mainstream.
