Desired Candidate Profile: Qualifications: BE / BTech or DME Desired Experience: Yrs of Exp / Nature of Exp : Must have BE with 5-6 years / Diploma with 8-9 Years experience in Vendor development. Key Skills Required and Key Accountabilities : Identifying need for new source and identifying suppliers, evaluating and developing vendors for Forgings, Castings & machined components. Processing RFQs with suppliers, Cost estimation and negotiations with suppliers. Capacity analysis for different work centers including CNC turning. VMC, HMC, Drilling, Milling. Grinding etc. Performs and supports Quality team in supplier quality system assessments and process audits in order to assess compliance to defined requirements. Ensuring On Time Delivery of parts, in order to meet production requirements. Participate in Cost reduction activities / projects to achieve results inline with organizational expectations and targets. New Parts Development including Proto & PPAP. Executes supplier process qualification activities throughout new product, improvement, and change activities. Supports Sourcing strategy as aligned by commodity lead and assignments, implementing supplier development activities to drive higher level performance in QCD with identified suppliers. Knowledge of forgings, castings and machining processes like milling, turning, grinding, burnishing, welding, plating, honing etc.is essential. Respond with a high sense of urgency to quality & delivery issues and escalate / communicate appropriately. Preparing weekly and monthly MIS. Excellent communication skills coupled with strong interpersonal skills. Exposure to ERP environment and Quality Management systems is essential.
