We are looking for this dog. She is about a year, spayed (thank god), very friendly. My rescue took her in and I have failed to do right by her. We adopted her to a previous adopter, 2 weeks later for some freaking reason they decided they didnt want her and instead of following my contract - they posted her on Craigslist. Of course she was snatched up right away. When I contacted her about Riley, she said all was fine, blah, blah, blah. But didnt want us to come over and see her. That concerned me, she sent me old pictures to show she was fine, then she wrote and told me she broke the contract and sold Riley to a good home, but the woman (cant remember her name, doesnt know where she lives, has a phone number she is pretty sure is hers) sold Riley. So we have no idea where she is, how she is, what is happening to her. I have reported the chip number as a missing dog. I will send the picture and a flyer to the vets in the Denver area, I am afraid the new owners will not let me know they have her if they catch wind of me looking for her. I am so pissed, brokenhearted, angry, worried, everything about this poor dog. I am looking for an attorney with some backbone that will file charges against her....I dont want small claims court money, I want the dog. Riley is young and such a good girl, she talks and wants you to listen. She wants some stability in her life - and a good life. Anyone have any tips to tell me about finding her, I am going to contact some private investigators, info on getting some legal avenues opened, anything. Please let me know.
