We are nearing the date set aside for the election of an executive to continue normalizing Gambian football for the next four years. This weekend has been a busy weekend for regions that have not elected people to run regional league football in their regions. Banjul have elected retired referee Modou Sowe as their regional football president. WCR elected Abdul Karim Sey as their regional president while KMC went to the polls to elect a president and an executive. These plus an enquiry if the June 29 Elective Congress will hold and of course the penultimate week of the GFA division one league.
