We are new to the school bus system... looking to my friends with experience. Just received a call that the school bus will pick up and drop off 300 m away from our home, on the corner of a busy street. Wondering if this is normal. Last year we had 7 school buses go down our street, picking up and dropping off only a few houses away on either side of us. Thinking ahead to our -40C winter days, when outdoor recess is not an option. Seems like a long walk for a 5 and 7 year old in this weather. Or, maybe that is the over protective Mom in me... yep, call me a Helicopter Parent. lol
