We are not the site to say "ERMAHGERD DERECHO" or be "the site that cries Derecho"...and nothing happens... but, looking at the overall pattern next week, we are going to have to watch the placement of the High Pressure as the "ring of fire" pattern will be hot and ready next week. The ring of fire pattern develops over a large scale heat dome that sends the jet stream into southern Canada. The heat lifts into much of the United States and thunderstorms fire on the northern edge and run along the heat dome in severe clusters. These clusters that can run from the Great Lakes to the Northeast/ N Mid Atlantic states can be strong to severe and produce damaging winds. We are going to have to watch the placement of the High Pressure through the next few days and see what model development does with future radar. *(Bottom Line: No forecast for large scale damaging wind event ... but we are going to be watching it closely this weekend into early week as IF anything were to occur, it would be early to mid week when the heat is at its worse.)*
